In progress: St. Germain Liqueur (part 1)

I am currently in the process of making elderberry flower (elderblossoms) brandy (aka) St. Germain Liqueur with this recipe (see above) from my friend Malgosia. It all started when my elderberry burst into so many flowers that it looked like fireworks (see below).
Elderblossoms and elderberries are known for their medicinal properties and so I am thrilled to use my bounty to make this fanciful spirit! (a second post will follow once the liqueur is ready!).
