Suspended Variation II
I am posting Suspended Variation II (2004) a Tomasz Stánko Quartet composition because I can really hear some magic happening in it and because I find the the song invigorating! This jazzy tune feels at once wintery, yet warming and daring. I think it is a jazz re-interpretation of Babatunde Olatunji's Jin-Go-La-Ba (1960) (which I saw him perform years ago and I still find tantalizing today!) I also include Santana's 1969 version of Jin-Go-Lo-Ba, because it also sounds (psychedelically) awesome! I am a believer in music as a powerful natural healer!
